I can’t speak highly enough about Movara! This is my second time attending Movara and I couldn’t be happier. The food is amazing! The staff is wonderful - helpful, encouraging and accepting. They are attuned to their guests, making sure each person gets what they need. The fitness staff challenges you without it feeling militant or torturous - they make exercise fun. The hiking is fantastic! There are hikes for people at every fitness level. And the spa is great! I will be coming back again. Do not hesitate to make this investment in your health, peace and well-being.

Listening to our bodies can be challenging when we are sore, tired, or have pain. 

This week in chapter 17 we discuss the importance of listening and how to listen to our bodies and reach our goals. 

Stress, hunger, and other emotions will manifest in different ways. It’s important to recognize and address what affects our bodies. 

Having said that, any guest who has been to Movara is quickly reminded how much our bodies are capable of and how movement creates energy. It’s important to differentiate between lack of motivation and the body needing rest. At movara you learn that motivation comes after the movement. If you move your body and you continue to feel tired after multiple days your body more than likely needs rest and or treatment. 

Join us this week to learn more on how to really listen to the body.

This week we addressed the importance of active rest and recovery 

The stop sign isn’t exactly a recovery but it’s the perfect option for a rest from a hike while still maintaining movement. 

And nothing is better than being able to walk and talk with one of our guides when you get the chance especially Wendy ❤️ 

Movara is hard but it’s the perfect rest and recovery from the day to day. You leave reenergized and ready to face the day to day with more energy, motivation and clarity.

The body can experience burnout, fatigue, injuries, etc. Movara is a big believer in listening to our bodies however if we are really listening to our bodies we can give ourselves permission to rest from one thing while realizing our bodies still need movement. It came be active stretching, switching up our routines from long cardio to short intervals, heavy weight to light weight but most importantly not skipping the stretching. If you’re not good at stretching on your own, new stretch labs are amazing! Yoga and or Pilates are also great ways to rest yet continue to move. Swimming is also a really great way to give your body a break of your own body weight while still getting great movement!!
